The fourth-generation 4A-GE engine was developed from 1991 to 1995. It has silver cam handles with chrome lettering, hence the nickname "silver best". This engine once more characteristics a completely new cylinder head which employs 5 valves for every cylinder as an alternative to 4. It uses Toyota's Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technique over the
